1. http://www.madd.org/drunk-driving/law-enforcement/

The link is a blurb from MADD, about Sobriety check points and the Drive Sober or Gets Pulled Over campaign.
Also, there is a link to where you can find out the law on sobriety checkpoints in each state (including North Carolina).

2. http://www.madd.org/drunk-driving/state-stats/North_Carolina.html

This link is the NC page on the MADD website. It highlights the laws that outline drunk driving including laws where drunk driving is enforced. Each subsection under the laws tab will take you to a small paragraph explaining the law. The subsections also include a breakdown of state by state penalties for drunk driving offenses.

3. http://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/counties/wake-county/article42085551.html

This article was interesting because it is about the N&O editor receiving a DWI charge. It might be interesting and maybe a little relatable for people to know that even people in semi-high places can get caught with a DWI.

4. http://www.cdc.gov/motorvehiclesafety/pdf/impaired_driving/drunk_driving_in_nc.pdf

This article is from the CDC that includes statistics about drunk driving and what is working to prevent drunk driving. The good thing is it is specific to North Carolina.

5. http://www.cdc.gov/motorvehiclesafety/pdf/impaired_driving/drunk_driving_in_nc.pdf

This is a website devoted solely to data about alcohol related injury, crashes, and deaths in North Carolina due to alcohol. It is a database built by UNC that can manipulated by year, type of offense, or injury. Provides detailed statistical analysis about the criteria selected.

6. http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/812102.pdf

This is a DOT report on National Durnk Driving. It is a good overview of the issue of drunk driving for the past few years and the programs that are allowing that. It also has many charts and graphs mapping out trends of BAC levels, comparing states, comparing ages, times of day people are getting caught, and some others. Very informative.

11. http://fox2now.com/2015/02/20/loophole-helping-drivers-skip-dui-checkpoints/

This article is from a news station in St. Louis (I know laws in Missouri are not the same in NC). It is interesting because it addresses drivers rights during a DWI checkpoint. Also, it points out social medias effect on drunk driving and checkpoint locations.
